From Frank...
The end of the year is always bittersweet for me. Although I look forward to new things in the new year, I’m always a bit reflective on the people and things that have been lost in the past year. I distinctly remember the first time I felt this way. It was New Year’s Eve 1971. We were at a friend’s home and they had a silver Christmas tree and lamp which project red, green, blue and yellow onto the tree.
I mean, who could forget that! Although I was just 5, I remember being a bit sad that 1971 would never be again. And now, it’s unbelievable to me that it’s going to be 2025 in just a few days.
In the new year, I wish everyone peace, health, and connectedness.
As for the Village, we Iook forward to continuing to serve our members, increasing our membership base (including expanding the number of free social and service-receiving memberships), welcoming new volunteers, holding an exciting exhibition in May for Older Americans Month, trying new activities (such as line dancing, Telephone Dial-In Socials, and Lunch & Learn gatherings.)
It’s a lot to which we can look forward to doing – together as the strong, vibrant, caring community that we are. Read the full newsletter at this link...
