In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Month, the Village held a special volunteer appreciation happy hour yesterday at local Mexican restaurant Laredo to celebrate the work of our fantastic volunteer corps. It was a beautiful day, and the warm weather was perfect for the occasion. We are so grateful for our volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy.
Volunteering takes many forms, and we appreciate all the help that is offered. Many of our volunteers work behind the scenes, helping with administrative tasks, organizing events, and ensuring that our operations run smoothly. Their contributions are invaluable, and we could not do what we do without them. Thank you to our volunteers for making our community a better place!
Carolyn Kulisheck Recognized
At the event, Carolyn Kulisheck was given special recognition for her years of dedicated work planning monthly cultural outings for our members. Carolyn's contributions to the Village have been immeasurable. She has planned countless outings over the years, taking members to visit some of the city's most prestigious cultural institutions such as the Phillips Collection, Abraham Lincoln's Cottage, The Institute of Peace, the State Department, the National Gallery of Art, and many, many others. Her efforts have helped to create lasting memories and experiences for everyone involved, and the Village is truly grateful for all that she has done.
