From Frank... I was away last week, visiting an ill family member in Florida. After my mom's passing, it's even clearer to me that our time here is limited and it's important to show up for others, when we can. So, like the mom that she always was, she's still teaching me things. And, of course, I was glad to be there to visit with my family and offer some support. From Claire... As we step into the new year, we’re excited about all that’s ahead for our Village community. It’s a time to reconnect, share good company, and enjoy the wonderful events we have planned. Next week, the monthly Lunch Bunch will gather at Chef Geoff’s, 3201 New Mexico Ave NW, on Wednesday, January 14 at 12:00 pm. It’s always a fun and friendly way to catch up over a great meal. You’d think that since she was nearly 95 and had Alzheimer’s for many years that I’d have been more prepared, especially given that I had experienced “anticipatory grief” during the many years of her cognitive decline.
